What do you reach for when you’re facing temptation? When you’re speaking to someone about the Gospel in the break room? When you strike up a conversation with a cashier? Reading God’s Word is essential, but most of our day isn’t spent with our open Bible in front of us. Have a plan to etch God’s Word on your heart and mind so you can use it the other 23 hours of the day.

Pick a Plan
A couple things to think about as you choose:
- Take into consideration how much Bible reading you’ve committed to this year.
- Then choose a plan that pushes you, but is a realistic challenge.
Practice
Practice is key!
If you don’t use what you memorize you’ll quickly forget it. Be sure to be reviewing on a regular, consistent basis to keep the verses fresh in your mind.
Get Support
Don’t do it alone. Get an accountability partner to help keep you on track. The Scripture Memory Accountability Group (SMAG) meets at the church each Saturday at 9am.

You’ll be working on one, sometimes two verses, for two weeks at a time.

If you're a parent, hope to become a parent, OR are a child/young adult still living at home WITH your parents, then this plan is for YOU!
52 Verses in 1 Year, COUNSELING:
This set of 52 verses is crucial to know if you disciple/counsel others. And since we ALL need encouragement in our walk with Christ, then this plan is really for ALL of us!
This plan is certainly not for the faint of heart! It includes the “need to know” verses, the Romans Road, and some longer complete chapters, equaling 365 verses.
You’ll be working on a verse a day throughout the whole year.
